Anastazie Vithova is a freelance violinist in the Indianapolis area, performing with local orchestras and for musicals, weddings and other special events. She has a rich background in different styles of music, such as classical, folk, bluegrass, jazz, and pop. Anastazie is originally from the Czech Republic. She began playing violin at age 5 and, while she did learn other instruments, violin has always been her true passion. She, like her family, was raised on Czech folklore. Since a young age, she played violin, sang, and danced with Czech folk group Stazka. In 2007, she became a member of the Junior Dixieland, a Jazz band, as a singer and violinophone (Stroh violin) player. With both the folklore group and the Dixieland, she performed at many national and international festivals and competitions.
Anastazie began teaching violin lessons in 2015 as an undergraduate student at the University of Indianapolis. Here she taught in the Pre-College Student Program for 3 years. In 2018 she received her Bachelors of Science in Music and Experience Design. During her time at the University of Indianapolis, she studied violin with Austin Hartman and with Joana Genova.
