Dave Morgan has been a professional performer and guitar instructor since the age of 15. He went on his first solo American tour at the age of 16 and has been blessed in my musical life to have performed with many American musical legends such as: James Cotton, Pinetop Perkins, The Legendary Blues Band, Leo Kottke, John Fahey, Norman Blake, and he also performed in a duet setting with Yank Rachell. In addition, he was fortunate enough to have performed as a solo act in Europe on three occasions. Dave gained much of his musical knowledge by performing with the masters of early American musical art forms: The Blues, Early Jazz, American Finger Style Guitar as well as Slide Guitar.
Dave’s teaching history includes: Meridian Music School, 2004-present (teacher of the year, 2006); Adjunct instructor at I.U.P.U.I., 1993-2003 (teacher of the year 1996, 2001); as well as many finger style blues master classes internationally. He has recorded three solo albums, one duet album with Yank Rachell, and one live compilation album from The Slippery Noodle blues bar in Indianapolis. Dave is comfortable with all levels of guitar across many genres, and he accepts students for every level of guitar. His teaching philosophy has been one of positivity that focuses on accentuating student's strengths, while gently working on their weaknesses.
