Taylor Lewis is a recent graduate of Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Violin Performance and Masters of Music Education. At IU, she performed with their Philharmonic, Chamber, Symphony, and Baroque orchestras. While pursuing her passion for education, she also continues her love for performing - actively playing with the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic and the Carmel Symphony Orchestra.

Taylor began learning the violin at the age of 5 with the Suzuki method. She joined her community nonprofit string organization, Stringendo, where she would participate with their orchestras until high school graduation. With Stringendo, she won 1st place twice at the ASTA Orchestra Competition, and a 3rd time with her high school orchestra. She was a member of New York Youth Symphony (NYYS) in NYC where she had the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall three times. She also grew up playing fiddle music which was an integral part of her musical journey. Taylor has been teaching private violin lessons since the age of 14, and is excited to continue this in Indianapolis.

Outside of music, Taylor is a personal trainer and has worked at IU’s gym as a group fitness instructor, Orangetheory Fitness, and is currently coaching at F45. In her free time, she likes to take her dog, Ellie, to the dog park, hang out with friends, and cook delicious dinners!
